"Good night, all!" said Bob as he exited the pub.  It had been a fun Saturday night; his boss at Lockwood Insurance had decided to treat he and his coworkers tonight in celebration of the company's recent favorable reviews.  Bob was proud of the work he and his coworkers had done, and it was good to let the hair down a little.  Plus, he'd be able to rib Ted for weeks about his overindulgence, which was definitely a bonus.

Of course, Bob had indulged a little as well, and now he had to get home.  Usually, Bob preferred to cycle or run into town, but tonight, wearing a tie and dress shoes for the company get-together, he'd caught a ride in.  Besides, it was entirely possible to get a DUI on a bicycle, and better to play it safe.

Taking out his smartphone, Bob fired up the app and called in a ride home.  According to the app, it'd be 20 minutes before the cab arrived.  In hindsight, it would have been better to stay at the pub for another round.  But rather than go back in, Bob decided to take a brisk walk up and down the street.  At least he could get a little exercise in tonight.

Two people were discussing nearby, in an alley that could have used some better public lighting. They were quite animated, although their words weren't entirely understandable. The word 'crazy', however was uttered more than once. ...never been one of yours, then, was the piqued reply to a sentence he'd entirely missed.

It was mostly one voice that was audible. The other man apparently refrained from yelling, although his tone was possibly even darker; muffled, however, as someone conscious that eavesdroppers aren't his best allies.

Bob walked straight past the alley, then paused. The smart thing was clearly to just keep walking and not nose into other people's business. But after that last couple of beers, curiosity overcame prudence. Bob leaned up against one of the buildings next to the alley, and listened in.

Down the alley, indeed, two people. A tall, bulky man was hissing something, towering over his interlocutor. The smaller figure wasn't unknown to Bob: with his overgrown grey hair, pointy goatee, trademark red glasses, he couldn't be but... that one rich British guy... the one that was so much into Sandsbridge's relics, of all things. The big guy, on the other hand, wasn't anyone he could recognize. From his angle, his face was mostly hidden by the shades, and his size didn't remind him of anything specifically. On his pale muscular arm he could see a tattoo; some kind of snake or dragon than spiralled from his wrist up to his shoulder, disappearing under his short, ripped sleeve.

It was a matter of seconds. At the sound of Robert's steps, the huge man didn't turn. What he did, however, was hushing his companions and walking with him towards the other end of the alley.

Bob took one last look down the alley, then shook himself and continued his walk. Whatever semi-famous people were doing in alleys wasn't any business of his. Anyway, his ride would be here soon. Better to just get home and sleep of those beers.
