Concept
: Fans of the film-or-show 'Legally Blonde' refer to Alix as "the medical version of Elle Woods," and for good reason: she started out her life as a spoiled, pretty rich girl from Grosse Pointe, MI. The difference between Alix -- properly Calixta, but she's not inclined to admit that -- and most of the other wealthy upper-crust girls from her community was that she was actually a generally good person. Privileged, unaware of most of hte trials and tribulations of the world, but good-hearted and well-meaning. And smart.

This sent her to medical school instead of into an industry anyone who knew her might have expected her to go into; she did her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan, and Wayne State for medical school. The real question from any and all of her friends was why she was comfortable with a residency match in a nowhere town in Massachusetts ... the secret was that Alix picked it first, wanting to go somewhere quiet and more rural than the busy hospital centers she'd spent her life in.

Personalitywise, Alix is curious and enthusiastic, but mild-mannered; she's friendly but doesn't tend to instigate conversation first. After a lot of time in the spotlight, Sandsbridge is a chance to lay low.

Or so she thinks.
